WALT: Save and Spend money.
We paid with cash:
- Airflight - $500
- Motel - $100
- Food - $100
- Insurance - $200
- Passport - $100
$200 left over
We played a game of how to save and spend money on a holiday trip. We started off with
$12,00 per team. We had 4 teams and the goal was to try and not get - $100 or less. The game that we played with Matua Garry was a problem solving game. Each team had to figure out if they were going to use cash or credit card. If we used a credit card we would have to pay it back at the end of the game.
Kia Ora, My name is Eugene from Saint Patrick's Panmure. This game is really helpful I assume as it helps with how you would spend your money and how to make a budget. Do you research on multiple different stores for the same product, room etc. As some stores may be cheaper than others.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Amira,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really interesting game and very useful too. It is so important to learning about saving money. Saving money is very important to me as I like to use it to go on holiday! How did your team go in the game? Did you use cash or credit? It is great that banks now have debit cards so you can pay for things online but don't get into debt.
